Work Shower

My office (the Office of Ethics and Compliance "OEC") threw Maddox a diaper shower/baby shower today. They are the best group of people in the world! Maddox gots lots of diapers (which we much needed). The OEC chipped in a got him the Graco Pack & Play from our BabiesRUs registry, which was SO SO nice of them. Aunt Carmen & Aunt Rachel got him some halloween goodies I can't wait for him to wear (don't worry - there will be pictures). It was a great time. Here a few pictures I took with my phone. I was horrible and forgot my real camera! My hubby bought me a really nice digital video camera awhile back, and I need to get in the habit of taking it with me. Maybe I should just leave it in my vehicle! :-) Good times...

Random Pictures

Here are a couple of random pictures from the last week. Mr. Maddox weighs 8.7 lbs now! He's a growing boy. I tried to put on one of his old preemie sleepers tonight, and it didn't fit him at all. I almost cried! He's growing too fast. We have his 6 weeks doctor's appointment next week! That's really hard to believe. I've gone back to work reduced hours, working from home. It's been quite a challenge figuring out how to juggle caring for Maddox, taking care of errands and housework and finding time to work the necessary hours during the day. I'm managing so far, but not without a few gray hairs! Keep me in your thoughts!! :-)

Maddox: One Month Old

We took Maddox to get his pictures taken today. He is exactly a month old! Here are a few of our favorite poses. We ordered some for the grandparents, but if any family or friends would like to view the website and order any, just let me know, and I'll get you the site info. He did such a great job at the session - he was very alert and didn't fuss at all. I can't wait to get the pictures back!!

The Bumbo

Maddox sat in his Bumbo for the first time today! It was so cute. He held his head up for awhile, which was exciting. It's really neat how well this thing supports him. It will help him to sit up. He's getting so big. He's wearing little jeans for the first time too. He hasn't been able to fit in any of his newborn clothes until recently. They're a TAD big on him, but he's getting there. He's growing like a weed. Why can't they just stay little forever? :-)

Just thought I'd post some random pictures from the past week to tease everyone. :-) There are a lot of pictures of him sleeping, because that's mostly what he does right now! ha. There is one of him exploring his bouncer for the first time. He liked it! He's growing so much so fast!

Maddox's Saturday Night Out

We had a big night tonight! We went to Spaghetti Warehouse downtown to see Uncle Del and Aunt CC who were in town for their anniversary. We had lots of fun visiting and catching up with them. Afterward, we went to the Delta Fair! I got to try out the Baby Bjorn that Aunt LaDonna bought us. It's my new favorite thing. It made walking around the fair so easy - kept Maddox safe and warm and allowed me the freedom to hold my husbands hand and hold a Coke. :-) I've posted some pictures from our fun day. Bath Time!

Maddox took his first bath in the bath tub today! Aunt Heather was a big help!! She came home from school in St. Louis for the Labor Day weekend to spend some time with Maddox. Here are some pictures. Viewer discretion is advised :-)

Labor Day at Grammy & Pawpaw's

We spent Friday and Saturday with Grammy & Pawpaw Foy to celebrate the Labor Day holiday. Saturday we decided to go bowling. It was Maddox's first bowling experience. I think he enjoyed it. Here are a couple of pictures. In one picture he was cheering for Daddy, and in the other Daddy is about to bowl. We enjoyed the family time.
