Nursery Prep for Baby Kinley = Treat for Maddox

What is slowly but surely becoming Kinley's room was previously our "music room/office" and the location of the ever-so-loved drums. Every day when Maddox comes home, the first thing he does is head straight to the music room and request that someone open the door. Why? Because he would spend the rest of the evening playing his daddy's drums, if we let him!

To his surprise, when he came home yesterday, the door to the music room was open. He ran straight in and gave me the most puzzled look. The room was practically empty! He said "drums?" So, I smiled and told him to go see his room. We walked across the hall and as soon as he walked into his room, he gasped with excitement. The drums!!! Yes, the drums have a new home in Maddox's room. Don and I could not bare to put them in the attic. He just loves them way too much and is actually pretty coordinated and has some mad rhythm for a 1 year old. :)

Make a Wish!

We decided to eat dinner at Fresh Slices near our house and enjoy the patio dining and nice weather. There was a fountain there. So, we decided to learn how to throw pennies and make a wish. I may or may not have bribed him a little to say a few of our favorite words...

Fun on the Farm

We went to visit the family in Siloam Springs, Arkansas this past weekend. It was a very eventful weekend!! My grandma had open heart surgery last week, and we were primarily making the trip to visit her and give her lots of hugs to help recovery!! I know those Maddox kisses helped! :) My sister also got engaged. Very excited.

We stayed with my Aunt Annita and Uncle Lonny while we were in Siloam Springs and Maddox got to go outside and see the horses and chickens. I think he's a natural.

No fear. He wanted to pet the horse.
Feeding the horses.
He loves anything with a steering wheel! Too cute.
I think he's thinking.."what the heck are those??" Ha!

A Day at the Olive Branch Park

Mamaw and Papaw Foy took Maddox to the Olive Branch Park today. He's been to a park before, but not since he's really been big enough to enjoy it! I was glad they got to enjoy the nice weather today and had lots of fun playing on the playground and feeding ducks. Here are some pictures my dad took of their fun day.

Dad said he LOVED the slide! He wanted to do it again and again.
Here he is saying "cheeeeeeeeze"

Having fun on the swing. Mamaw pushed him real high!
Weeeeeee!
Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!

What's going on over there?
Do I have to share with the ducks??
Feeding bread to the ducks.
Watching his shadow as he walks.

Who knows what the thought bubble is with this face! Ha!
